Willington Hall is a grade II listed former country house in the parish of Willington, in Cheshire. Built in 1829, and designed in a Jacobean style by Nantwich architect, George Latham, it served as a family home to the Tomkinson family for many years. It has been in use as a hotel since the 1950s.

A striking building of orange brick and sandstone, with a Welsh slate roof, Willington Hall is set in 18 acres of cultivated and landscaped gardens and parkland with water fountains and rose gardens. A 200 year old sandstone sundial in the gardens is also grade II listed and is definitely worth a hunt through the foliage to find.

Situated near Chester, with heavenly views across the Cheshire countryside towards the Welsh mountains, Willington Hall is an amazingly impressive venue for a range of events and team building activities. Whether you're a business traveler or a local delegate, it offers a sublime setting for meetings and conferences of all sizes.

Events at Willington Hall

Getting to Willington Hall is simple, as it's just 9 miles from Chester, with easy access to North Wales and the North West. With parking for up to 200 cars and meeting/conference rooms suitable for groups ranging from 15 to 180 delegates, it's suitable for pretty much any event. There's even two helicopter pads if you want to really arrive in style! However, if you want to stay overnight, you might need to share because accommodation is limited to 12 rooms.

A selection of truly impressive meeting and conference rooms are available, along with the extensive gardens that are perfect for outdoor team building activities.

There’s the Gainsborough Restaurant, named after its Gainsborough painting of local land lawyer, James Tomkinson, serving quality local produce. There are also two bars: the Drawing Room, where you might also grab an afternoon tea on the terrace if the sun is out; while for colder weather, the roaring fire in the Study Bar could suit you better.
