Syrencot is a beautiful Grade II listed, Georgian manor house and contemporary barn venue built in 1738. The breathtaking grounds and gardens cover over five acres, ensuring a guest capacity of up to 200. The building was recently restored in 2018, mixing its original Georgian charm with contemporary sophistication and comfort, resulting in the perfect secluded setting for a private experience that feels like a complete retreat from the world.
Not much is known of its history before the 11th century, however, Syrencot House is one of the six settlements in the parish of Figheldean that is thought to be of Saxon origin. In the 14th century, it became its own hamlet with the manor house at its centre. Bought by Thomas Dyke in 1639, the building was continuously passed down throughout his descendants and often renovated and even enlarged.
Hosting your event at this private countryside estate can elevate your guests’ experience with a curated collection of unique spaces for a personalised and unforgettable corporate function.
You have the option of choosing from 13 charming luxury rooms within the historic Syrencot House, all carefully designed to ensure a tranquil retreat for your guests.
With a seated dining capacity of 150, the professional team at Syrencot provide world-class fine dining experiences, with an outdoor kitchen and bespoke menus on offer.
The venue is easily accessible from Bath city centre, with a 60-minute drive to the location. It is also accessible via the A303, just 5 minutes away, as well as Salisbury train station which is 25 minutes away.

“I just wanted to tell you again how impressed I was with the team building event. I think you could tell how much everyone enjoyed the games and the friendly competitiveness. It can sometimes be a gamble when introducing different elements to a meeting and I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but putting my trust in you and your team certainly paid off for me as it was much better than I could have expected.”
