Divided into two parts, there is something that everyone in the team will excel at, with plenty of tasks that keep your colleagues engaged, entertained, and challenged from start to finish.
This thrilling activity brings teams together, unleashes creativity, and puts communication skills to the test. In the first part, it's all about design. Your team will get to unleash their creativity and showcase their design skills by assembling and decorating your own high-performance race car. The possibilities are endless! Add some stickers, use the pens, and throw on a few other decorative items to make your car stand out from the crowd. The best designs will be awarded top points, plus the quality of your artistic creation will determine where your car is positioned on the grid when the main race begins.
Next up, it's time to hit the track! Before the main race starts, everyone in the team will get a chance to practice with the car around the warm-up track. Trust us, it's easier than it looks, and you'll soon become addicted to the thrill of remote-controlled car racing!
The main race is a 20-minute endurance test, where team members will swap every couple of laps to complete as many laps as possible. But it's not just about speed. You'll need to work together to right the car if it flips or put it back on the track if it comes off. Effective communication and teamwork are essential to keep the car running smoothly and to complete as many laps as possible.
With lap timers monitoring your speed and progress, there is plenty of opportunity to succeed. Can your car withstand the pressure of the course, or will the bumps and flips do damage? The team that completes the most laps will be crowned the winners of the Design & Drive Derby!

Indoor or Outdoor Activity
Design & Drive Derby is an outdoor or indoor activity which requires a suitable lawned area or a large conference room at your chosen venue so is a great addition to a team away day or large conference. The setup time is 1 hour and this activity typically runs for around 2 hours.
As a standalone activity this can accommodate groups of 8 to 100. For greater numbers this can be included as part of a larger activity package or could be adapted to suit so please get in touch.
