The Cryptex experience is a collection of Da Vinci Code inspired mobile escape room challenges built around mystery, intrigue, and hidden mechanisms. Teams take on a series of themed activities, from puzzle boxes, mazes, and ciphers. Some challenges require precision and coordination, others rely on pattern recognition or logic. Teams are challenged to think like cryptologists as they work through our Cryptex enigma in this unique and engaging team building activity.
Teams rotate through a number of escape room-style challenges, completing them in any order. Each challenge is designed as a self-contained test, with its own rules and objective. With just 10 minutes on the clock, the focus is on solving the puzzles, deciphering the clues, and making progress under pressure.
Each task presents a new challenge. You might be opening engraved wooden puzzle boxes to uncover hidden map fragments, guiding iron spheres through a labyrinth without touching them, aligning puzzle components to reveal hidden letters, or ultimately unlocking the handheld Cryptex vault.
Points are awarded based on completion and performance, whether that is how many elements you solve, how accurately you execute the task, or how efficiently you work as a team. Each room stands alone, but the pace and variety keep teams fully engaged from start to finish.
This is a fast-paced, varied experience that keeps teams thinking and adapting. The short time frame in each room creates focus and urgency, encouraging teams to make decisions quickly and stay engaged.
It also drives active participation and natural collaboration. With different types of challenges in each space, teams draw on a range of strengths, sharing information and adjusting their approach as they move from one room to the next.

The Cryptex works well in indoor or outdoor spaces. The setup time is 1 hour, 30mins and this activity typically runs for around 1 hour, 30mins.
As a standalone activity this can accommodate groups of 10-50. For greater numbers this can be included as part of a larger activity package or could be adapted to suit so please get in touch.
