Teamwork Takes Flight

Calling all innovators, problem-solvers, and creative thinkers! It's time to put your teamwork skills to the test in an exciting new team challenge that combines engineering prowess, imagination, and the power of empty fizzy drinks bottles! Introducing Rocket Science, a unique team building activity that will test your team to work together to design, build and launch their very own bottle rocket.

How it Works

Equipped with all the necessary materials and expert guidance, it will be up to your team to assemble the components and bring your rocket to life. Building the body of the rocket is just the beginning; after that you'll face the tricky task of ensuring stability during flight, overcoming the intense stress and G forces it will endure. Choose your materials wisely and fashion fins and an aerodynamic nose cone from the resources at your disposal.

You'll learn to troubleshoot, adapt, and innovate on the spot, all while bonding with your teammates in an atmosphere charged with excitement and friendly competition. However, the true test of your team's strategic decision-making awaits at the launchpad, the culmination of your hard work and ingenuity. Here, you'll have the opportunity to select the PSI pressure at which your rocket will be launched.

The launch puts strategy, teamwork, and creativity to the test in one exciting moment. Will you play it safe with a lower pressure, aiming for a controlled flight? Or will you dare to take the risk, cranking up the pressure to the max in pursuit of a greater distance?

Key Benefits

Rocket Science is about more than just reaching new heights. It gives teams the opportunity to collaborate, communicate, and apply creative thinking to a practical problem. Working together, teams overcome design challenges, make strategic decisions, and see the impact of those choices in real time as their rocket takes shape and launches.

Throughout the process, teams move from concept to execution, testing ideas, adapting their approach, and refining their design as challenges emerge. The activity highlights how clear effective facilitation, decision-making, problem-solving, and teamwork directly influence performance and results.
